Now that I'm older, I've been more into sending thank you notes than I ever was before. I don't think it really has anything to do with age – just that I'm more appreciative and thankful for all that I've been given. I definitely wasn't a grateful teenager!
Sending thank you cards in the mail is not the easiest with two young kids. I've started sending virtual thank you notes instead and have been pleasantly surprised at the ease of doing so. I can just quickly get on the computer, type up a few sentences and hit send. Done. No shopping for the right card at the store, finding postage, and getting it out to the mailbox on time.
I just recently found SendThanks.com and it's been so easy to share a quick thank you – publicly. It's not for private messages, but for those that you want viewable by others. It's all about, "Posting a Little Love for All to See," as they say.
It's very easy to do. Just click the website link above, go to Submit a Thank You, fill in the required fields, type out your note, and hit submit. And your done. Takes less than a few minutes.
Not only do I love that I can send a message to people I know and it notifies them, I can also send out a note of thanks to people I don't know. Like, the person who helped me open my car trunk at Wegman's last week when it was frozen shut, or the person who let me cut in line because Haley was crying. Even though they may never see that message, it's good for other people to see, you know? Makes people feel good to read about other people doing good.
So definitely click over and give SendThanks.com a try for yourself. You won't be disappointed. If anything, you should scroll through some of the thank you notes that have already been sent.
Who would you send a thank you note to?
