It’s really too bad that you can’t smell this little bottle through your screen! It’s DIVINE – smells so good! I find myself just opening up the bottle throughout the day and taking a whiff. While it’s great to smell directly from the bottle, orange essential oil has so many other uses, too! Check out the list below for all the orange essential oil uses I could think of!
Orange Essential Oil Uses
- Breathe - Breathe it in straight from the bottle or put it in a diffuser. Orange oil is known to calm nerves, uplift your mood, and help with insomnia.
- Drink - Put one drop in 4 ounces of water for a refreshing drink. Not only does it taste superb – it helps to detox the body and improve digestion.
- Make - Lotion, soap, chap-stick, massage oil, mouth wash, cleaning products, air freshener, deodorant, insect repellent, etc. So many things you can make with it! And it adds a nice flavor to foods as well – especially chocolate!
doTERRA Wild Orange Essential Oil
doTERRA Wild Orange Essential Oil comes in a 15ml bottle and is cold pressed from orange peel. Wild Orange can be used aromatically (direct or in a diffuser), topically (mixed with a carrier oil), and ingested (1 drop in 4 ounces of liquid). I most often find myself just smelling it directly from the bottle, but a diffuser is high on my wish list, so I’ll be trying that soon! It tastes wonderful in tea and just plain water, and I love mixing up my usual lemon with orange in my all-purpose cleaner. If I made my own soaps and lotions, I’d definitely would be using it in those, too!
All doTERRA essential oils are 100% pure CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade® essential oils and are extracted using low heat steam distillation (in most cases). Wild Orange is one of the exceptions and is cold pressed. This blend is safe for aromatic, topical, or dietary use. It needs diluted 1:1 in a carrier oil for topical use and always do a patch test on your skin before applying liberally. Orange oil is also photo-toxic – so avoid direct sun exposure for 12 hours after applying.
Have you used orange essential oil before? What would you like to do with it? I love just smelling it – it seriously helps improve my mood!
You can purchase doTERRA Wild Orange, like the one I reviewed, on the My Natural Family Website for $13.93. It retails from doTERRA for $14 – so only a few pennies saved.
