What would I like to find under the rainbow? Fluff – of course! Well actually, I’d prefer loads of money, lol. But, I’d spend some on fluff, so it’s really all the same! I’ve been trying out some new fluff - a GroVia Kiwi Pie Fitted and I’m in LOVE. It’s crazy weird to be in love with a cloth diaper but I don’t even care! They are utterly adorable and highly efficient. You just can’t go wrong. Would you like to find one under the rainbow? One of you will be very lucky, indeed!
The GroVia Kiwi Pie Fitted, is well, a fitted diaper. That basically just means it requires a cover to make it waterproof. They’re great for both day and night time. During the day, you can let your babe go coverless and just watch for wetness to come through – which is helpful if you’ve got a rash since they’re breathable. At night, paired with a cover (PUL, wool, or fleece) you’ve got a bullet proof system to get you through the night with dry sheets. Every mom wants that – and especially those who co-sleep. It’s not fun waking up to wet sheets! Haley’s a super soaker at night and this diaper does the trick!
The innards of the GroVia Kiwi Pie Fitted is 50% Micromodal (sourced from Beech trees, super absorbant, and soft) and 50% Pima Cotton (extremely durable and absorbant). The combination makes for one killer leak proof diaper. It comes with (2) 4-layer soakers made of the same material that can either be used together or separate. I use them together – I take no chances at night. My favorite feature though – the print on the outside of the diaper is also on the backs of the soakers! I know that no one sees that when it’s on, but it’s just the simple details that make this diaper awesome. And speaking of prints, they’re the cutest EVER. And 100% cotton.
They’re said to fit babies between 10-30+ pounds – which seems reasonable to me. It features a fold over rise that snaps down to fit smaller babies and then unsnaps for larger ones. Haley at about 18 lbs. and 8 months old is still able to wear it snapped down – so I don’t think it would fit a newborn well. It fits Grady, who’s 28 lbs. and 32 months old, unsnapped with plenty of room left in the waist. There’s 2 snaps on each tab to help prevent wing droop and also has a cross over tab to fit skinny waists. Overall, the fit is great. Although I don’t ever worry about it too much with fitted diapers – you’ve always got back up with your cover!
I’ve been using it for well over a month now, and the cotton print has held up amazingly well. Usually the prints on fitted diapers tend to fade with repeated washings, but I haven’t noticed any fading yet on the GroVia Kiwi Pie Fitted. It still looks as good as when I got it – and I put it on Haley EVERY time it’s clean.
