Haley is 6 months! Well, really she’s 6 months and 2 weeks, but who’s counting! She’s really doing great. Overall, a very happy baby!
We’re still breastfeeding and that’s going well. She’s at that stage where she’s really distractible, so that’s a little annoying. She’s very curious about Grady and pulls off to see what he’s doing. Oh – and she’s a hair puller while nursing. Ouch!
We just started offering her solid foods. So far, she’s had sweet potatoes, bananas, and pears. She seems to enjoy it and likes sitting at the table with us. She’s still having some reactions to dairy, so I still haven’t been able to add that back into my diet. Over the holiday, I tried to have some but it ended up giving her a diaper rash and gas. Hopefully, it passes and it’s not a life long issue.
We’re still co-sleeping and she wakes up about 3 times throughout the night to nurse. She fills her belly and quickly goes back to bed, so it’s not that bad. I’ll be happy when she starts to wake up less, though!
Her little personality is really starting to show. She’s very happy, smiles all the time, and laughs hysterically at her big brother! She loves him so much!
She’s sitting up now fully on her own, without falling over. I still like to place the boppy or a pillow behind her – just in case! Sometimes, she still takes a topple backwards. She’s starting to put herself in a crawl position, so I don’t think it’ll be too much longer before she’s really on the move. I’m hoping Grady will be a big help keeping an eye on her!
