Haley is 6 months! Well, really she’s 6 months and 2 weeks, but who’s counting! She’s really doing great. Overall, a very happy baby!

6 Month Baby

We’re still breastfeeding and that’s going well. She’s at that stage where she’s really distractible, so that’s a little annoying. She’s very curious about Grady and pulls off to see what he’s doing. Oh – and she’s a hair puller while nursing. Ouch!

We just started offering her solid foods. So far, she’s had sweet potatoes, bananas, and pears. She seems to enjoy it and likes sitting at the table with us. She’s still having some reactions to dairy, so I still haven’t been able to add that back into my diet. Over the holiday, I tried to have some but it ended up giving her a diaper rash and gas. Hopefully, it passes and it’s not a life long issue.

We’re still co-sleeping and she wakes up about 3 times throughout the night to nurse. She fills her belly and quickly goes back to bed, so it’s not that bad. I’ll be happy when she starts to wake up less, though!

Her little personality is really starting to show. She’s very happy, smiles all the time, and laughs hysterically at her big brother! She loves him so much!

6 Month Baby

She’s sitting up now fully on her own, without falling over. I still like to place the boppy or a pillow behind her – just in case! Sometimes, she still takes a topple backwards. She’s starting to put herself in a crawl position, so I don’t think it’ll be too much longer before she’s really on the move. I’m hoping Grady will be a big help keeping an eye on her!

When did your baby start to crawl? Grady was crawling by 7 months and it seems Haley may be right there with him!

Onesie stickers are from Buddha Bellies. Headband is from Lulu and ChaCha.

  1. Oh goodness she’s TOTALLY adorable!!!! Makin’ my Mothering-instinct’s go wild…until I’m reminded of my special needs child laying in my bed sleeping… As MUCH as I’d love an adorable little girl to dress all frilly & gussy up… I don’t know if I could manage another “Schwoom” (that’s my son’s nickname) boy oh boy… I guess I’ll have to live vicariously thorough your updates!!! ;)
I think my son started crawling right around 9 months…but now that he’s 7, honestly, I’d have to look into his scrapbook and see!!!
Thanks for posting such a beautiful little girl… I needed that smile!!

  2. She’s getting SO BIG!! Thanks for the update on Haley.

  3. Omg! She’s adorable – she looks so big and so tiny at the same time. How is that possible?
And that headband is adorable, thanks for putting the shop link because I was thinking “Wonder where she got that!?”

    • They are awesome Lindsey! I ordered a couple bands and then a whole bunch of the flowers. They just snap on and you can mix and match! :)

  4. Truly an adorable baby, Jenny! My baby girl just reached 7 months a couple days ago. Isn’t the bond between sibilings amazing? I have 2 sisters and a brother that I have always been close with but watching my 3 girls interact astounds me! How can my wee baby love her big sisters so much?! The connection is crazy. Oh and the 6 ish month distractability while feeding…ouch! We’re at that stage too! At least there are no teeth to go with the pulling off yet!
