I’m always on the lookout for handmade all-natural products to use instead of traditional store bought ones. I like to keep ingredients simple to minimize my (and my family’s) exposure to chemicals and toxins. The less ingredients the better, in my opinion! If I can’t read an ingredient on the label then I’ll usually pass it up. 2 products that are really important to me to have be natural are diaper rash cream (since it’s going on sensitive parts) and deodorant (because ingredients could possibly be linked to breast cancer). Those are both good enough reasons in my mind to look for better products!
Luckily, Monkey Baby Naturals contacted me to see if I wanted to review some products! What perfect timing! Terri, the WAHM behind the cute monkey logo, makes a diaper rash cream called Baby Goo and a Natural Deodorant! Along with those 2 products she also makes Boogie Goo, an herbal chest rub, and a Baby Massage Oil. All the products feature simple, natural ingredients like oils, herbs, beeswax, and butters! You can see full ingredient listings on her website. Trust me, you’ll be able to read and identify every ingredient. No worries about chemicals in these products!
Terri sent me the Baby Goo Unscented to try out with Grady and Haley. It’s safe for cloth diapers and has worked well for clearing up minor diaper rash for us. We haven’t had a really bad rash, so I can’t say how it would work on those ones, but it’s worked great for us so far. Since it’s multipurpose I’ve also used it on dry skin as a moisturizer. It makes my hands feel nice and soft and has helped clear up some dry skin on Grady’s legs. I also LOVE the container it comes in. I always feel like I might contaminate stuff that comes in a jar, so I appreciate that this comes in a pump. It’s runnier than some of my other diaper creams, but works just as good, if not better. If you prefer your stuff to have a scent, Terri also makes Baby Goo in Lavender & Tea Tree, Mandarin, & Cocoa Butter scents. Doesn’t the cocoa butter sound lovely?
I also got to try out her Natural Deodorant. I was a little weary that it would work at first but it DOES! No BO here! I did feel pretty sweaty at first though, since it’s not an antiperspirant. But the more I use it the less sweaty I feel. I really think it’s helping me to sweat less! With regular deodorant I knew I smelled bad if I was sweating, with this stuff my sweat smells good. Ha! It doesn’t go on as smooth as regular deodorant but it’s not rough or anything. I’ve been wearing the Lavender & Tea Tree scent, but she also has Palmarosa & Tea Tree, Sage, Tea Tree & Lemon, Geranium, Rosemary & Lime, and Lemon, Clove & Patchouli. Lots of nice scents to choose from.
Do you use natural personal care products? What scent would you choose for yourself in either the diaper rash cream or the deodorant? Is one product more important to you to use natural than others? What’s first on your list? I started out by switching all our baby products to natural ones first. Now, I’m working on myself!
BUY IT: You can purchase the Baby Goo and Natural Deodorant, like the ones I reviewed, on the Monkey Baby Naturals Etsy Shop for $13.49 and $8.49 respectively. Great prices for natural products!

Although I was sent complimentary items for review purposes, I was not paid or enticed to write an awesome review for these products! All opinions expressed are 100% mine! Logo and product photos are curtesy of Monkey Baby Naturals.

I’d try an unscented product, in our house it seems everyone is allergic to scents and we have to use unscented laundry detergent. Yes everyone, even the dogs!
I’d rathre go with natural products than the ones where they are full of chemicals.
I always unscented natural products. They are so much more gentle on my sensitive skin. Who needs all those extra chemicals anyway?
I love scented, but am hesitant to get it because I am afraid that my son would react (he is very sensitive).
For deodorant I would choose the lavender scented one!
My husband and I are both allergic to scented stuff so I try to buy unscented and natural products as much as possible. With those odds, I’m sure we’re going to have a baby with a lot of sensitivities too so I plan on buying all his stuff natural.
I have also switched all of my kids’ products to natural and I’m working switching for myself as well. These look like great products at good prices.
I am trying to switch myself over to all natural products. My kids products are all natural and I think it is important for the whole family to allow as much non toxic products into our house as possible.
I love the “Baby Goo” name. I like the silly named products.
Switching my baby products to all natural (or starting with all natural) is the most important to me. I am more worried about my child than myself. Next step is workng on switching myself to all natural products. I would love to try some all natural deoderant!
i love that it is all natural! im looking for more green and natural products in my life!
I love Monkey Baby Naturals!!!!
I like the pump as well — I’m actually surprised there are not more on the market. So many of these great natural products have many different uses, but it never works out that way if it’s in the form of a stick that’s been rubbed on a baby’s bum
I have really wanted to try out a natural deoderant but I haven’t gotten brave enough yet. Might just have to take the plunge:)
I love the pump feature! More convenient than opening and closing a jar one handed and no chance of contaminating the cream by accidentally double dipping.
I’d like to try a natural deodorant. This one sounds great.
I’d LOVE to try their deodorant.
I love that the babygoo comes in a pump, I never want to stick my dirty fingers into a tub of diaper cream!
This is great
My problem is choosing a scent…they all sound so enticing.
I would love to dry the diaper rash cream! Im always looking for something safer than commercial products to my little guy!
I would get the Lemon, Clove & Patchouli Natural Organic Deodorant. I am in the process of switching my family to more natural products.
Most of the personal care products we use are standard mass produced products. I’d be willing to give the natural products a try.
I’ve been slowly changing over to more natural products and would love to try this!
I need some of the baby goo not only for my daughter’s butt, but for her eczema.
My nieces get diaper rashes all the time this sounds like it will work!
I agree about using creams from a jar, grosses me out a bit so it nice to see some good natural stuff in a pump!
I have been using all natural products more and more! I especially like to use all natural products like diaper balm and shampoos on my baby!
SO excited to fins another product that’s safe for use with cloth diapers!
Love natural products! Thanks for the review!!
I have been slowly switching most of our products to natural products. Started with baby products but always on the look out for new cloth diaper safe creams! I would love to try this deodorant!
I would love to try unscented because my little guy has super sensitive skin!
We already make our own deodorant, but I’m sure hers is so much more delicious-smelling and user-friendly! I’d love to try some!
I enjoy how it is chemical free!
I would love to try the natural deodorant, as I really want to use more natural body products, but so far most of the deodorant I have tried, doesn’t really work for me!
I’ve been trying to use more natural products but was at loss for deodorant- I haven’t found anything that really made me smell better! This looks awesome and I’d love to try it!
That mandarin scent sounds delish! Thank you for introducing me to this store!
I must try this, I have been in search of a good bum creme.
I go for unscented whenever possible. Too many fragrance sensitivities in our home.
You are so right about the container! So many of these products have multiple uses that never get utilized because of the applicator. I am amazed that more products don’t come in a similar container.
I’d love to try natural deodorant as I don’t like the nasty chemicals in “regular” deodorant. This looks really cool!
I am not usually a fan of scented stuff, but I have to say that cocoa butter sounds like it would be amazing! I’d love to try some of this for my own kiddo.
I would love to compare Baby Goo to the other diaper rash creams that I have tried. It sounds promising.
I always try to use natural products on our little mab
I always love to try natural products
I usually like the unscented products best!
Baby Goo in Cocoa Butter sounds soooo lovely! I try to use as much natural on the baby as I can.
Thanks for sharing this product line. I’m always so worried about the products I’m putting on her sensitive skin, so I’m always looking for good all natural products!
Another Etsy product to blow money on! HAHA! Love Homemade baby products on Etsy. I have become so addicted to trying all of them!
I love that this is a natural product!! Great for my kiddo who has sensitive skin
I have been switching all dd’s body products to all natural and I think I am there (other than toothpaste!) I’ve slowly been trying to switch mine too – deodorant is one of them that I just don’t think I’d be able to do because I NEED an antiperspirant! I am out in 100+ weather and without an antiperspirant, I’d have some really nasty arm rings! I would love to use a more natural deodorant on the weekend and when I’m not working though but to completely switch over, I don’t see it!
I love how multipurpose this is! Always better to have something to that be used for MANY things than many things that can be used for only ONE thing
Our youngest has sensitive skin so this might work for her
thank you
I would love to try this, even if it’s just to compare it to other creams I have tried. I am always open to new things!
I never used to worry about these things until having my baby 7 months ago. Once I started looking into what was and wasn’t good for him I started to change my mind on a lot of stuff I usually buy! I gave away all those creams and powders we got at his shower and have been buying him all natural stuff! (I hate the smell of baby powder so no loss IMHO!) Would love to try Baby Goo for his diaper rashes!
Loving all the Tea Tree scents but we’re a little sensitive so we can’t get those.
I really wish natural stuff were less expensive. I would love to use all natural stuff for everything but I feel like I have to pick my battles. Organic/natural products for the baby will win over products for me every time
I really like everything about this product. So versatile and affordable.
