There seems to be a million and one cloth diaper stores out there. Of course, none of them are local to me, so I’m forced to shop online for my cloth diapers. When I’m looking to make a purchase I have 3 things in mind:
- Low cost or free shipping
- Coupon codes for discounts and free items
- A rewards program
Do you know what online cloth diaper store meets all my expectations??? It’s Kissed by the Moon!
They’ve got free shipping on orders over $49 (which isn’t hard to do when you’re buying fluff), TONS of coupon codes, and a rewards program where you get 1 point for every $ you spend. You then get to turn your points into gift certificates! I love buying fluff to get free fluff!
The site is super easy to navigate and they’ve got a very large selection of cloth diapers, accessories, baby carriers, items for mom, and other assorted natural products! Whew…..it’s one of the largest selections I’ve seen from an online retailer. Plus, new products are always being added!

After checking out the site, Tami, Kissed by the Moon’s owner, graciously sent me a Kissaluvs Organic Cotton/Hemp Fitted Diaper in the newborn size to use with Haley. Once it arrived, I spent FOREVER prepping it! Cotton and Hemp fabric requires multiple washings before it’s ready to use to remove the natural oils and increase it’s absorbency. Good thing Haley was a week late arriving!
The diaper is really absorbent and I’ve been able to use it overnight on Haley with the additional soaker that snaps in. She’s a heavy wetter and after a 5 hour sleep stretch we woke up with dry PJ’s. It’s a little too bulky, in my opinion, for daytime use, but works great for us over night. I love pairing it with my Thirsties Diaper Covers.
We got a great fit at birth (8lbs. 10 oz) and it’s still fitting at 6 weeks (12 lbs). It’s advertised to fit babies between 5 and 15 pounds and this seems to be pretty accurate from my experience. We have experienced some problems with wing droop. I think a hip snap would fix this problem. It looks like the larger size has one but not the newborn size. Because it requires a cover, the wing droop really hasn’t been an issue. I only really noticed the problem when I let her go coverless for a few photos. That’s not something I do all the time, so it’s not a problem!
Overall, a great night time diaper for a newborn!
